It’s been about a year since I’ve submitted this project, but it keeps pulling me back in to make small changes and tweaks.
During my sophomore year at Arizona State University, I was in a class called GRA-224, Visual Communication II. The directions of this particular project were to draw, in Illustrator with solid lines for existing form and dotted for all help lines, all lines necessary to translate the object into a digital image. After the object was translated to lines, we were to print out the lines and paint, with black and white Plaka paint, the shadows and highlights on the object.
In theory, it seems so straightforward, but in application, it was anything but.
